MLB: LA Dodgers 3, Colorado 2 (10 innings)

LOS ANGELES, April 27 (UPI) -- James Loney's RBI single in the bottom of the 10th inning Sunday gave the Los Angeles Dodgers a 3-2 win over the Colorado Rockies.

Loney's only hit in the game gave the Dodgers a three-game sweep of the defending National League Rockies.

The contest was tied 2-2 after nine innings. LA had scored on RBI singles by starter Esteban Loaiza and Rafael Furcal in the fourth. Colorado countered with an RBI double by Willy Taveras and Todd Helton's RBI single, both in the fifth.

Furcal and Matt Kemp had two hits each for the Dodgers, who have won five of their last seven games.

The winner was Joe Beimel (1-0), who pitched a scoreless 10th inning.

Taveras and Helton had two hits apiece for the Rockies, who have lost seven of their last eight.

The losing pitcher was former closer Manny Corpas (0-2).
