MLB: Cincinnati 10, San Francisco 9

SAN FRANCISCO, April 27 (UPI) -- Brandon Phillips had three RBI Saturday night to lead the Cincinnati Reds past San Francisco 10-9.

Jeff Keppinger had two hits and, RBI and two runs scored and Paul Bako had a solo homer and two RBI for the Reds, who won for the first time in their last four games.

Matt Belisle (1-1) yielded four runs on five hits in five innings, but still got the victory.

Fred Lewis had three hits -- including a triple and a solo homer -- and scored three runs for the Giants, who lost for the first time in their last four games. Eugenio Velez drove in three and scored a pair of runs for San Francisco.

Giants starter Kevin Correia managed to record just one out before leaving the game with a left oblique pull. Losing pitcher Brad Hennessey (1-1) allowed three runs on six hits in three innings of relief.

The Giants got within 7-5 in the sixth when Rich Aurilia smacked a solo homer, but the Reds answered with three runs in the top of the seventh to go up 10-5.

San Francisco managed four more runs in the bottom of the ninth, highlighted by Eugenio Velez's two-run double, but Reds reliever Francisco Cordero came on to close the door on the Giants' rally.
