Sorenstam has one-shot lead at Stanford

AVENTURA, Fla., April 26 (UPI) -- Annika Sorenstam posted a 1-under 70 Saturday to take one-shot lead after the third round of the LPGA Stanford International Pro-Am at Aventura, Fla.

Sorenstam, the women's world No. 2, finished 54 holes at 7-under 205.

World No. 4 Paula Creamer turned in a 4-under 67 to move into second place, one shot in front of Momoko Ueda (67) and overnight-leader Young Kim (73).

Sorenstam began the third round one shot behind Kim and found herself two back after Kim birdied No. 1. Sorenstam chipped in for birdie at the par-five second to trail by only a stroke.

Kim dropped a shot with a bogey at the seventh and Sorenstam gained sole possession of the lead when Kim bogeyed the 12th.

Sorenstam will try for LPGA Tour victory No. 71 Sunday.

Reigning U.S. Women's Open champion Cristie Kerr had a 67 Saturday and is in fifth 208. Dorothy Delasin (69) is sixth at 210.
