NEW YORK, April 26 (UPI) -- Carlos Delgado's RBI groundout RBI Saturday allowed the New York Mets to edge Atlanta 4-3.
It capped a four-run outburst following a two-run double by Carlos Beltran and Ryan Church's RBI triple.
David Wright and Damion Easley both had two hits for the Mets, who stopped a two-game skid.
Starter and winner John Maine (2-2) yielded two earned runs on three hits and three walks in five innings with seven strikeouts.
Closer Billy Wagner captured his fifth save this season.
Atlanta's Martin Prado and Mark Teixeira had one RBI each and one run scored on Maine's wild pitch in the top of the third. Prado had two of the six hits for the Braves, who played without the National League's leading hitter, Chipper Jones. He sat out with back spasms.
Losing pitcher Tim Hudson (3-2) gave up four earned runs on seven hits in just three innings.
