SEATTLE, April 25 (UPI) -- A solo homer by Brian Roberts in the eighth inning gave the Baltimore Orioles the lead Thursday and the Orioles won a wild 8-7 decision over Seattle.
Baltimore overcame a 5-0 deficit and went in front with a four-run seventh highlighted by a two-run double from Alan Jones.
Ichiro Suzuki hit a two-run homer for Seattle in the bottom half of the seventh to tie it at 7-7 before Roberts hit the first pitch of the eighth inning from Sean Green (1-1) over the wall in right.
Chad Bradford (2-1) came in after Suzuki hit his homer and worked 1 1/3 innings for the victory.
George Sherrill started the ninth for Baltimore and gave up a leadoff single to Yuniesky Betancourt, but then got Suzuki to ground into a double play to claim his eighth save.
