MLB: Seattle 4, Baltimore 2

SEATTLE, April 23 (UPI) -- Felix Hernandez tossed seven strong innings and Jose Vidro drove in two runs Tuesday, boosting Seattle to a 4-2 win over Baltimore.

Hernandez gave up two runs on six hits over seven innings but the win went to Arthur Rhodes (1-0), who gave up one hit in the eighth. J.J. Putz, just back from the DL, got his second save with a one-hit ninth. It was Rhodes' first win since 2005.

Raul Ibanez drove in another run for Seattle and scored a run. Ichiro Suzuki had a triple and scored a run, while Yuniesky Betancourt scored twice for the Mariners, who have won five of seven.

Aubrey Huff homered for the Orioles, who have dropped two in a row. Kevin Millar had the other Baltimore RBI.

Jeremy Guthrie (0-2) was the loser, giving up four runs -- all but one earned -- on five hits.
