MLB: Philadelphia 8, Colorado 6

DENVER, April 23 (UPI) -- Pat Burrell's bases-clearing double in the ninth inning Tuesday, propelled the Philadelphia Phillies to an 8-6 win over the Colorado Rockies.

Trying to protect a 6-5 lead, Rockies closer Manny Corpas gave up singles to So Taguchi and Chase Utley on either side of a Jayson Werth strikeout and then intentionally walked Ryan Howard before surrendering the game-winning double to Burrell.
