DETROIT, April 22 (UPI) -- Ramon Santiago hit a two-run homer and had three RBI Tuesday to trigger the Detroit Tigers' 10-2 victory over the Texas Rangers.
Edgar Renteria was 4-for-4 with an RBI and two runs scored for the Tigers. Jacque Jones was 2-for-3 with a pair of runs scored.

Justin Verlander (1-3) was the winning pitcher after giving up only one run on six hits in six innings.
Josh Hamilton and Frank Catalanotto each drove in a run for Texas, which has lost five in a row.
Vicente Padilla (2-2) took the loss after giving up seven runs on eight hits in three innings.
