MEMPHIS, April 19 (UPI) -- Memphis guard Chris Douglas-Roberts is the latest underclassman to decide to enter this year's NBA draft.
The 6-foot-6 junior from Detroit led the Tigers to the NCAA title game this past season where they were beaten 75-68 by Kansas.
He averaged 18.1 points and four rebounds per game and was the player of the year in Conference USA.
"I am just as happy and excited for Chris and the opportunity that is ahead of him," Coach John Calipari said in a statement. "During the season, it's about the team. After the season, it's about individual players. Chris, and every player on the team, gave his all for the team this season, and we are grateful for what he did for this program."
Roberts joins teammate Derrick Rose, the outstanding freshman point guard, in opting to go pro.
