Jean-Sebastien Giguere made 31 saves.

The Stars' Brenden Morrow scored twice, and Mike Modano and Mike Ribeiro each logged two assists. Dallas goalie Marty Turco gave up four goals on 15 shots.

"We came out and had some great chances that didn't go in," Dallas coach Dave Tippett said. "We got tentative and allowed a few, but it took a period or two to get it back going. They took advantage of their chances and we didn't. We looked jittery and made some uncharacteristic mistakes."

Game 4 will be Thursday.
