NBA: Miami 113, Atlanta 99

MIAMI, April 16 (UPI) -- Jason Williams led seven players in double figures Wednesday and Miami avoided making dubious history by defeating Atlanta 113-99.

Daequan Cook and Mark Blount had 16 points each, and Ricky Davis added 15. Miami outscored Atlanta by 20 in the second half.

The Hawks were led by Josh Smith with 20 points and Mike Bibby had 17.

Atlanta finished eighth in the Eastern Conference and will face the Boston Celtics in the opening round of the playoffs. The Hawks won only 12 road games all season.

Miami had only a two-point lead 4:30 into the fourth period before going on a 13-3 run.
