MIAMI, April 16 (UPI) -- Jason Williams led seven players in double figures Wednesday and Miami avoided making dubious history by defeating Atlanta 113-99.
The Heat finished the season at 15-67 to merely equal the worst record in franchise history established in 1988-89. Miami broke a three-game losing streak
Atlanta finished eighth in the Eastern Conference and will face the Boston Celtics in the opening round of the playoffs. The Hawks won only 12 road games all season.
Miami had only a two-point lead 4:30 into the fourth period before going on a 13-3 run.
