MLB: Baltimore 3, Tampa Bay 2

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla., April 12 (UPI) -- A solo homer by Ramon Hernandez in the ninth inning Saturday gave the Baltimore Orioles a 3-2 victory over Tampa Bay.

Hernandez also tripled in a run in helping the Orioles end a three-game losing streak.

Baltimore starter Daniel Cabrera allowed one run on five hits in 6 2/3 innings, but the win went to Chad Bradford (1-1), who came on in the eighth after Tampa Bay had tied the game on Carlos Pena's sixth homer of the season.

George Sherrill worked the ninth for his fifth save.

Dan Wheeler was called on with two away in the ninth to face Hernandez, who promptly hit a 2-0 pitch over the wall in left.
