PITTSBURGH, April 11 (UPI) -- Ryan Malone scored the go-ahead goal with 62 seconds remaining Friday, giving the Pittsburgh Penguins a 5-3 win over Ottawa in Game 2 of their playoff series.
Pittsburgh let a 3-0 lead get away, but came back to take the game and a two games-to-none advantage over the Senators in the Eastern Conference quarterfinals.
The game quickly turned when Ottawa's Martin Lapointe was sent off for high sticking at 18:46 of the third.
Malone scored a dozen seconds later, beating Martin Gerber with a wraparound shot. Malone added an empty-netter with seven seconds to play.
The Penguins peppered Gerber with 53 shots.
Game 3 of the best-of-seven series is set for Monday in Ottawa.
