MLB: Cincinnati 12, Milwaukee 4

MILWAUKEE, April 10 (UPI) -- Corey Patterson hit his fourth homer this season and doubled twice in a 14-hit attack Wednesday that boosted Cincinnati to a 12-4 blasting of Milwaukee.

Ken Griffey Jr., Brandon Phillips and Ryan Freel had two hits each in helping the Reds halt a two-game skid.


Josh Fogg (1-1) went five innings to get the win, giving up three runs (one earned) on four hits.

The Brewers, who had won their previous four games, got solo homers from Ryan Braun and Bill Hall.

Dave Bush (0-2) was touched for five runs on six hits in 5 1/3. Seth McClung gave up five runs in two innings of relief.

The Reds broke open the game by scoring 10 times over the final four innings after trailing by one through five.
