MIAMI, April 5 (UPI) -- Mike Jacobs hit a grand slam home in the fifth inning Saturday to power the Florida Marlins to a 7-3 victory over the Pittsburgh Pirates.
Hanley Ramirez also homered for the Marlins and Brett Carroll and Matt Treanor each had an RBI.

Mark Hendrickson (1-1) earned his first win in a Florida uniform. He gave up three runs on five hits and three walks in 5 1/3 innings.
Chris Gomez drove in two runs for the Pirates, who have dropped three of their last four games. Ronny Paulino had Pittsburgh's other RBI.
Paul Maholm (0-1) took the loss. He allowed five runs on five hits in five innings, but struck out nine while walking only one.
