MLB: Atlanta 11, N.Y. Mets 5

ATLANTA, April 5 (UPI) -- Kelly Johnson's two-out, pinch-hit grand slam in the seventh inning Saturday powered the Atlanta Braves to an 11-5 victory over the New York Mets.

Jeff Francoeur went 3-for-5, with three RBI and a run for the Braves, who had 15 hits in the game to improve to 2-3 on the season. Chipper Jones also had three hits and scored a run, while Mark Teixeira reached base four times, with two hits and two walks, and scored a pair of runs.

Winner Tim Hudson (1-0) allowed three runs on six hits with no walks in six innings.

Carlos Beltran, Carlos Delgado and Ryan Church each had two hits and Angel Pagan had two RBI for the Mets.

Loser John Maine (0-1) allowed four runs on eight hits, with three walks in just four innings.
