NBA: Sacramento 110, LA Clippers 98

SACRAMENTO, April 4 (UPI) -- Kevin Martin scored 28 points Thursday and the Sacramento Kings pulled away in the second period to defeat the Los Angeles Clippers 110-98.

The Kings won for the third time in four games, getting 16 points from Mikki Moore and 15 from Francisco Garcia.

The Clippers took a five-point lead after one period, but Sacramento dominated the rest of the way. The Kings shot 46 percent from the floor and limited Los Angeles to 13 second-quarter points while taking control.

Los Angeles was led by Corey Maggette with 28 points. Elton Brand, playing his second game of the season, had 15.

Brand suffered an Achilles injury prior to the start of the season and returned to the lineup Wednesday.
