NBA: New Orleans 106, Miami 77

MIAMI, April 2 (UPI) -- Tyson Chandler did not miss a shot in 10 field goal attempts Wednesday and New Orleans dominated the fourth period to crush Miami 106-77.

Chandler scored 20 points and pulled down 10 rebounds to back up the 22-point performance by David West. New Orleans won for the eighth time in nine games and moved a half game in front of idle San Antonio for the lead in the Western Conference.

The Hornets equaled a franchise record by winning their 25th road game this season.

New Orleans outscored Miami in the fourth period by 21 points. The Heat got 18 points from Chris Quinn and 15 from Blake Ahearn.

The Hornets opened the game with a 14-2 run and had as much as a 20-point lead in the third period. Miami was able to close its deficit to four going into the fourth period before collapsing down the stretch.
