NHL: Buffalo 2, Boston 1 (OT)

BUFFALO, N.Y., March 30 (UPI) -- Andrej Sekera took a cross-ice pass and scored 39 seconds into overtime Sunday, giving the Buffalo Sabres a 2-1 victory over the Boston Bruins.

Thomas Vanek passed to Sekera, who fired the game-winning shot past Boston goalie Alex Auld.

Toni Lydman scored the other Buffalo goal and goaltender Ryan Miller registered 17 saves.

Dave Krejci got the lone goal for Boston, which had won its previous three games. Auld blocked 28 shots.
