LOS ANGELES, March 29 (UPI) -- Loui Eriksson scored twice in a four-goal second period Saturday to lead the Dallas Stars' 7-2 rout of the Los Angeles Kings.
Eriksson's first goal came on the power play at 10:24 of the second and the second, at 13:53, gave him 14 goals this season. Stephan Robidas (power play in the first), Stu Barnes, Brenden Morrow (power play in the second), Jere Lehtinen and Nicklas Hagman all scored once.
Mike Ribeiro had three assists. Robidas, Brad Richards and Mattias Norstrom all had two assists, while goalie Marty Turco needed to stop 12 of only 14 shots for the Stars -- who broke a season-high five-game losing streak and stayed alive in the Western Conference playoff picture.
Los Angeles got goals from Kevin Dallman in the first and Michael Cammalleri in the third.
Erik Ersberg and Daniel Taylor were beaten seven times on 35 shots for the Kings, who are out the playoff chase in the West.
