NBA: San Antonio 99, Minnesota 84

SAN ANTONIO, March 28 (UPI) -- Manu Ginobili keyed a fourth-quarter run Friday that carried the San Antonio Spurs into a share of the Western Conference lead with a 99-84 win over Minnesota.

Ginobili scored 26 points while making five of eight three-point shots. Two of those long-range efforts came during a 9-0 outburst in the final period that boosted the Spurs to their sixth straight win.

San Antonio moved into a tie with New Orleans atop the West. Tony Parker added 18 points for the Spurs, Michael Finley had 16 and Tim Duncan 14.

Ryan Gomes led Minnesota with 17.

The nine straight points in the fourth period gave San Antonio an 83-70 lead with 7:30 to play. The Spurs have won 10 of their last 11 at home and have beaten the Timberwolves 12 times in their last 14 meetings.
