EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J., March 26 (UPI) -- A career-high 26 points from Josh Boone Wednesday boosted New Jersey to a 124-117 win over Indiana.
The Nets won their second straight and stayed within a half game of Atlanta for the final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference. Devin Harris contributed 22 points and a season-best 15 assists. Vince Carter also had 22 points and Richard Jefferson 20.
Indiana slipped 2 1/2 games behind Atlanta despite a 33-point show from Mike Dunleavy.
The Pacers trailed by 10 starting the fourth quarter and pulled to within five with 8:19 to play. New Jersey then scored three straight baskets, including a turnaround jumper by Harris, to fight off the comeback bid.
