Jordan leads all-time NBA jersey sales

NEW YORK, March 26 (UPI) -- Michael Jordan's jersey was the top seller when the NBA Store revealed its list of top 10 all-time best sellers Wednesday.

The store on New York's Fifth Avenue did not say which number was the leader in that category.

The 14-time all-star wore three different numbers in his career, which included two stints with the Chicago Bulls and one with the Washington Wizards.

Jordan wore No. 23 when he first played for the Bulls from 1984-1993. He played professional baseball for two years.

In his return to the Bulls in 1995, he briefly wore No. 45 and after another brief retirement, Jordan wore No. 9 when he played for Washington from 2001-2003.

"The NBA Store has showcased the world's most extensive array of basketball merchandise and served as a home for player appearances, special events, and even birthday parties and bar and bat mitzvahs," said Sal LaRocca, NBA Executive Vice President, Global Merchandising Group.

Kobe Bryant and Allen Iverson jerseys were the second and third best sellers.
