NASHVILLE, March 25 (UPI) -- Dan Ellis made 36 saves for the fifth shutout of his career Tuesday, backstopping the Nashville Predators' 3-0 win over the Columbus Blue Jackets.

Jan Hlavac and Jason Arnott each had a goal and an assist for the Predators.

Nashville, with 84 points, trails Colorado by two points for the eighth and final playoff spot in the Western Conference.

Fredrik Norrena allowed three goals on 19 shots before he was lifted in favor of Dan LaCosta.
