ENGLEWOOD, Colo., March 25 (UPI) -- Denver wide receiver Brandon Marshall is recovering from surgery after smashing his arm into a TV set while roughhousing at home, the team said Tuesday.
Marshall will be sidelined 3-4 months following repairs to his right forearm. An injury summary from Broncos athletic trainer Steve Antonopulos said Marshall sustained right forearm lacerations to one artery, one vein, one nerve, two tendons and three muscles.
"We woke up early in the morning to go jet skiing," Marshall told The Denver Post. "There were probably 10 of us. We got to horseplaying and I slipped on a McDonald's bag. I went hand-first into an entertainment system and, in trying to bridge myself, I went through the TV."
All the injuries were repaired and Marshall's right forearm and elbow will be immobilized for six weeks.
Marshall played in all 16 games for the Broncos last season, and had 102 receptions for 1,235 yards and seven touchdowns.
