COLUMBUS, Ohio, March 24 (UPI) -- Jamar Butler scored 20 points Monday to lead top-seeded Ohio State to a 73-56 win over fourth-seeded California in the second round of the NIT.

Kosta Koufos added 17 points for the Buckeyes (21-13), who play Dayton in the quarterfinals Wednesday. Othello Hunter had 11 points and 16 rebounds in the victory.

California (17-16) was paced by Jerome Randle, who scored 18 points for the Golden Bears.
