NHL: Detroit 4, Columbus 1

COLUMBUS, Ohio, March 22 (UPI) -- Pavel Datsyuk had a goal and two assists Saturday to guide the Detroit Red Wings to a 4-1 win over the Columbus Blue Jackets.

Datsyuk assisted on first-period power play goals by Nicklas Lidstrom and Henrik Zetterberg, and then scored his 31st this season, unassisted and shorthanded, in the third.

Johan Franzen also scored and goaltender Dominik Hasek needed to stop 11 of only 12 shots in the Red Wings' third game against Columbus in a week.

The Blue Jackets won 4-3 at home last Sunday, but the Red Wings recorded a 3-1 victory Wednesday in Detroit.

The winners improved to an NHL-best 106 points.

Columbus' lone goal Saturday was Rick Nash's 38th of the season, 43 seconds into the third period.

Fredrik Norrena gave up four goals on 21 shots for the Blue Jackets, who are tied for 12th among 15 Western Conference teams with just 77 points.
