NBA: Portland 107, LA Clippers 102

PORTLAND, Ore., March 22 (UPI) -- A big game from LaMarcus Aldridge Friday allowed the Portland Trail Blazers to hold on for a 107-102 decision over the Los Angeles Clippers.

Aldridge scored 22 points, claimed 12 rebounds and handed out seven assists as part of the Blazers' second win in three games. Brandon Roy added 21 points for Portland and Steve Blake had 15.

The Clippers shot 56 percent from the field in a losing cause, with Cuttino Mobley scoring 24 points and Josh Powell 21. It was Los Angeles' sixth straight loss.

Portland saw its 12-point lead starting the fourth quarter cut to three early in the period before pulling away.

The teams will play again Saturday in Los Angeles.
