The point picked up by Minnesota lifted the Wild three ahead of Calgary, Vancouver and Colorado in the tightly packed Northwest Division.

Minnesota tied the game with 28 seconds left in regulation on a power-play goal by Marian Gaborik, his second of the contest -- both in the third period.

The Sharks then scored twice in the shootout, getting goals from Joe Pavelski and Roenick, while Brent Burns scored for Minnesota.

Roenick also scored the first goal of the game, giving San Jose a 1-0 lead after one period.
