MEMPHIS, March 15 (UPI) -- Antonio Anderson's 19 points Saturday helped third-ranked Memphis rout Tulsa 77-51 for the Conference USA Tournament championship on its home court.
Memphis clearly out-classed its weaker, seventh-seeded opponent by grabbing a 21-6 advantage and never letting up.
During the opening Memphis surge, Tulsa made only one of 10 shots and faced a 42-13 hole at halftime.
The top-seeded Tigers, playing the event at FedEx Arena, their home court, grabbed their third straight tournament title.
Chris Douglas-Roberts scored 16 points and reserve Jeff Robinson added 11 for the Tigers, who registered their 42nd straight victory against a CUSA foe.
A big factor was Memphis making 11 of 22 three-pointers.
Jerome Jordan led Tulsa (20-13) with 17 points and nine rebounds.
Ben Uzoh had 13 points and three rebounds for the Golden Hurricane, which had recorded back-to-back overtime victories over Alabama-Birmingham and Texas-El Paso to get to the final.
