ENGLEWOOD, Colo., March 12 (UPI) -- Denver Broncos General Manager Ted Sundquist has left his position with the NFL club after 16 years.
In a release Wednesday, the team did not disclose the reason for his departure.
"I am grateful to Ted for all his hard work and efforts on behalf of the Broncos for the past 16 years," Coach Mike Shanahan said. "Now is the time for our organization to move forward and look at new directions. We are prepared to do so, starting with our ongoing draft planning, along with continuing preparations for our mini camps and training camp."
The release added that Jim Goodman, the team's director of player personnel,and Assistant General Manager Jeff Goodman each will have more prominent roles in football operations, while recently named Chief Executive Officer Joe Ellis will assist on operational and administrative issues related to football.
