Kenseth wins the latest Nationwide race

HAMPTON, Ga., March 8 (UPI) -- Matt Kenseth beat Kevin Harvick by less than a second Saturday to win the Nicorette 300 Nationwide Series race in Hampton, Ga.

Kenseth took his No.17 Ford across the finish line at the Atlanta Motor Speedway just 0.159 seconds ahead of Harvick to capture his first Nationwide victory this season and the 24th of his career on the circuit.

Kyle Busch finished a disappointing 24th after he led 153 of 198 laps. When Busch's right front tire went flat with just 25 laps left, it was a battle to the finish between Kenseth and Harvick.

With nine laps left, Kenseth passed Jeff Burton for first. Burton also was passed by Harvick for second.

"It played out perfect," Kenseth told The Charlotte Observer. "Certainly you think about getting beat at the end, but we won."

Ultimately, Burton finished third.

Carl Edwards was fourth, Bobby Labonte fifth, Brad Keselowski sixth, and Mike Bliss seventh.
