COL BKB: North Carolina 76, Duke 68

DURHAM, N.C., March 8 (UPI) -- Tyler Hansbrough had 16 points and 15 rebounds Saturday and top-ranked North Carolina scored the final 10 points in a 76-68 win over fifth-ranked Duke.

The victory gave the Tar Heels the Atlantic Coast Conference regular season championship.

Danny Green added 18 points, eight rebounds and seven blocked shots for the Tar Heels (29-2, 14-2), who closed the ACC regular season by not only winning the title, but also avenging a Feb. 6 89-78 loss to the Blue Devils. Since then, North Carolina has won eight straight.

Wayne Ellington had 16 points for the Tar Heels, who gained the top seed for the ACC Tournament next week.

Greg Paulus had 15 points for Duke (26-4, 13-2), which shot 32.9 percent from the field and had a four-game winning streak broken. Jon Scheyer added 14 points.
