PODS suspended in 2nd round; Maggert leads

PALM HARBOR, Fla., March 7 (UPI) -- Strong winds forced suspension of the PODS Championship in Palm Harbor, Fla., Friday with Jeff Maggert leading by three strokes.

Maggert was at 8-under-par after nine holes in the second round when play was halted by wind gusts up to 35 mph and rainstorms approaching.

Kenny Perry and D. J. Trahan were at 5-under-par and Sean O'Hair, Jeff Overton and Bart Bryant at 4-under.

Play was to resume at 7:30 a.m. Saturday with most golfers still in the second round.
