NBA: Orlando 118, New York 92

ORLANDO, Fla., March 1 (UPI) -- Dwight Howard's 26 points and 22 rebounds Saturday led the Orlando Magic to a 118-92 rout of the New York Knicks.

The winners started slowly and led by only 31-29 after the first 12 minutes, but they gradually pulled away with 37-25, 26-20 and 24-18 scoring advantages in the second, third and fourth quarters, respectively.

Orlando's largest lead was 118-88 with 37 seconds remaining.

Hedo Turkoglu compiled 25 points, eight rebounds and 10 assists. Rashard Lewis had 22 points and seven rebounds.

Carlos Arroyo had 13 points and eight assists and Maurice Evans was the fifth player in double figures with 11 for the Magic, who have won four of their last five games.

Their rebounding advantage was 54-37.

Jamal Crawford led New York with 23 points and seven assists. Quentin Richardson scored 16 points with seven rebounds while David Lee and Malik Rose added 11 points apiece for the Knicks, who have dropped two straight.
