INDIANAPOLIS, March 1 (UPI) -- Pete Campbell scored 24 points Saturday to lead the 13th-ranked Butler Bulldogs in a 65-31 rout of the Detroit Titans.
Mike Green had 11 points, 12 rebounds and nine assists for the Bulldogs (27-3, 16-2 Horizon), who clinched the regular season crown Thursday. As the top seed, Butler will have the home court in the Horizon League Tournament next week.
This is the Bulldogs' first outright league title since 2003, and second consecutive regular season championship after sharing the crown with Wright State last season.
No Detroit scorer reached double-figures. Chris Hayes had nine points and six rebounds for the Titans (7-22, 3-15), who closed out their season with a four-game losing streak.
