NBA: New York 113, Charlotte 89

NEW YORK, Feb. 27 (UPI) -- Nate Robinson paced five players in double figures with 22 points Wednesday, carrying New York to a 113-89 whipping of Charlotte.

The Bobcats were already playing without Gerald Wallace, who suffered a concussion last week against Sacramento. They also lost swingman Jason Richardson in the second quarter Wednesday when he was accidentally hit in the face by Robinson.

Richardson suffered a contusion and corneal abrasion of his right eye, leaving Charlotte without its top two scorers.

Zach Randolph added 18 for New York and Quentin Richardson had 17.

Charlotte, which lost its fourth straight and 11th out of 12, was led by Matt Carroll with 19 points.

The Bobcats failed to score during the final 3:51 of the first half while the Knicks were putting together a 15-point run.
