NHL: Dallas 5, Edmonton 2

DALLAS, Feb. 22 (UPI) -- Jere Lehtinen scored twice Friday and Marty Turco was called on to make just 20 saves in carrying the Dallas Stars to a 5-2 win over Edmonton.

Branden Morrow, Loui Eriksson and Mike Modano also scored for the Stars, winners of four out of their last six. Edmonton has lost three in a row.

After giving up three goals on 28 shots through two periods, Mathieu Garon was replaced in goal by Dwayne Roloson.

Eriksson scored the game's first goal with 3:26 left in the first period, Lehtinen produced his first at 5:35 of the second and Morrow delivered a shorthanded tally with 2:47 remaining in the second.

Turco did not surrender a goal until 7:59 remained in the third.

Dallas has won all four meetings with Edmonton this season and has beaten the Oilers 10 times out of 12.

Edmonton has given up 14 goals during its three-game skid.
