Dallas lost for only the second time this month, having posted an 8-2 record. Niklas Hagman and Mattias Norstrom scored for the Stars, who remained 10 points behind idle Detroit for the best record in the Western Conference.

With the game tied at 1-1 after two periods, both teams scored in the opening two minutes of the third. Iginla then delivered the game-winner, taking a pass from Daymond Langkow and jamming the puck past Marty Turco.

Iginla needs one more goal to reach his total from last season (39).
