COL BKB: Georgetown 68, Providence 58

PROVIDENCE, R.I., Feb. 18 (UPI) -- Roy Hibbert had 18 points, eight rebounds and six blocked shots Monday to lead the 11th-ranked Georgetown Hoyas to a 68-58 win over Providence.

Jonathan Wallace added 14 points for Georgetown (21-4, 11-3 Big East). DaJuan Summers had 11 points for the Hoyas, who have won eight of their last 10 games.

Weyinmi Efejuku scored 25 points for Providence (13-13, 4-10), which suffered its fourth straight loss. Brian McKenzie had 16 points for the Friars, but no other Providence player had more than four points.

Georgetown, which trailed by one point at halftime, led 35-34 after three minutes of the second half. But Providence scored seven unanswered points in the next minute to build a six point lead. A trio of three-pointers by Wallace had Georgetown ahead by six points, 49-43, five minutes later.
