NHL: Dallas 4, Anaheim 2

ANAHEIM, Calif., Feb. 16 (UPI) -- Two second-period power-play goals by Stephane Robidas Friday night lifted the Dallas Stars to a 4-2 victory over Anaheim.

The Stars, who saw their seven-game winning streak halted 24 hours earlier, bounced back to capture a key division contest.

First-place Dallas expanded its lead over second-place Anaheim to six points in the Pacific Division. The Stars, with the second-best record in the Western Conference, also moved within 10 points of front-running Detroit -- losers of five in a row.

Dallas overcame a 1-0 deficit on Mike Ribeiro's power-play goal late in the first period. Robidas then beat Jean-Sebastien Giguere twice with the man advantage.

He scored on a slapshot 4:56 into the second to give Dallas the lead, and then he tipped in a shot by Mike Modano with 1:39 remaining in the stanza.

After Chris Kunitz brought the Ducks within one midway through the third, Steve Ott scored into an empty net with 17 seconds to play.

Marty Turco, who had a five-game winning streak snapped in the loss to Phoenix Thursday, made 20 saves for the Stars.
