NBA: Chicago 99, Miami 92

CHICAGO, Feb. 14 (UPI) -- Kirk Hinrich ignited a late 7-0 run Thursday that carried the Chicago Bulls to a 99-92 victory over Miami.

The Heat lost for the 24th time in 25 games and will go into the All-Star break with the NBA's worst record at 9-42.

Hinrich led the Bulls with 24 points, Joe Smith had 19 and Thabo Sefolosha 17. Chicago played without Ben Gordon (sprained right wrist), Ben Wallace (death in family) and Luol Deng (left Achilles tendonitis).

Dwyane Wade paced Miami with 30 points. It was the Heat's 12th straight road loss.

Miami closed within 89-87 on a three-pointer by Marcus Banks with 2:30 remaining. Hinrich then hit a jump shot to start the Bulls' 7-0 surge that put the game away.

Chicago out-rebounded Miami 53-35.
