Parmentier rallies in Chile

VINA DEL MAR, Chile, Feb. 13 (UPI) -- Fourth-seeded Pauline Parmentier battled her way past Rossana De Los Rios Wednesday to reach the third round of the Cachantum Cup.

After losing a first-set tiebreak, Parmentier stormed to a 6-7 (0-7), 6-1, 6-1 victory that set up a meeting with fifth-seeded Martina Muller.

Muller advanced with a 6-3, 6-2 dismissal of Julia Schruff.

Mariya Koryttseva earned a spot in the quarterfinals by defeating Petra Cetkovska 6-3, 6-4. Koryttseva will take on either Sara Errani or Nuria Llagostera Vives, who will meet on Thursday.
