COL BKB: Duke 77, Maryland 65

DURHAM, N.C., Feb. 13 (UPI) -- Kyle Singler scored 26 points Wednesday, helping No. 2 Duke forge its 12th straight win -- 77-65 over Maryland.

Greg Paulus added 20 points for the Blue Devils (22-1, 10-0 Atlantic Coast Conference). Duke made only 23 of 58 shots from the field, but still managed to pull away down the stretch. Jon Scheyer chipped in 13 points and DeMarcus Nelson had 12.

Maryland (16-9, 6-4) was led by Greivis Vasquez with 25 points. The Terrapins had won their previous four games.

The Blue Devils opened a 46-30 lead early in the second half only to see the Terrapins go on a 10-0 run.

Maryland eventually closed within 54-51 with 11:30 to play before Scheyer hit a three-pointer that ignited a 14-6 outburst.
