COL BKB: Texas 72, Kansas 69

AUSTIN, Texas, Feb. 12 (UPI) -- Connor Atchley, Damion James and A.J. Abrams helped 11th-ranked Texas knock off third-ranked Kansas 72-69 Monday.

Atchley had 16 points on six-of-six shooting, including all four of his three-point attempts. Damion James had 14 points and 13 rebounds, and Abrams had 14 points as the Longhorns (20-4, 7-2 Big 12) held off a late Kansas surge to hand the Jayhawks their second loss of the season.

Darrell Arthur led the Jayhawks (23-2, 8-2) with 22 points and six rebounds. Mario Chalmers and Darnell Jackson each scored 13 points.

Kansas, which started the season 20-0, trailed by seven points with four minutes to play.
