NHL: San Jose 4, Nashville 3

SAN JOSE, Calif., Feb. 10 (UPI) -- Jonathan Cheechoo had a hat trick Saturday night to lead San Jose past Nashville 4-3, giving Sharks' Coach Ron Wilson his 500th regular season NHL win.

Wilson tied Toe Blake for the 10th place on the all-time NHL list of winning coaches.

It was Cheechoo's ninth career hat trick. He also had an assist, Milan Michalek had a goal and two assists, and Joe Thornton had three assists for the Sharks, who have won two straight.

Evgeni Nabokov made 10 saves on 13 shots for San Jose.

Vernon Fiddler scored two goals and added one assist, Scott Nichol scored a goal and Chris Mason let in four goals on 27 shots for the Predators, who lost their second straight game.

The game was tied 3-3 with 5:26 left in the third when the Sharks got the power-play advantage with Nashville center Radek Bonk in the penalty box for hooking, and Michalek scored the game winner on a feed from Thornton.
