NBA: LA Clippers 102, Toronto 98

TORONTO, Feb. 8 (UPI) -- Corey Maggette equaled his season's best effort with 35 points Friday in leading the Los Angeles Clippers to a 102-98 win over Toronto.

Maggette gave the Clippers a four-point cushion by making two free throws with 12 seconds remaining.

Cuttino Mobley and Al Thornton both scored 19 points in helping the Clippers win for the second time in three games. Chris Kaman had his 30th double-double of the season with 16 points and 12 rebounds.

Toronto was led by Chris Bosh with 29 points and Jamario Moon with 16.

Los Angeles had to overcome an eight-point halftime deficit. The Clippers scored the final nine points of the third period to take a 78-77 advantage into the final quarter and they opened as much as a 10-point lead in the fourth.
