NHL: Toronto 4, Montreal 2

MONTREAL, Feb. 7 (UPI) -- Two goals from Darcy Tucker Thursday along with a 34-save effort from Vesa Toskala carried Toronto a 4-2 victory over Montreal.

Kris Newbury and Kyle Wellwood also scored for the Maple Leafs, winners of two out of three. Toronto welcomed back defenseman Bryan McCabe, who returned to the lineup after missing 22 games with a broken left hand.

Carey Price, who was recalled Monday from Hamilton of the American Hockey League, started for Montreal and allowed three goals on 27 shots.

Toronto grabbed the lead for good at 2-1 early in the second period when Tucker took a pass from Matt Stajan and one-timed the puck past Price.

Wellwood made it a 3-1 game in the final minute of the period, picking up the 100th point of his NHL career in the process.
