NHL: Anaheim 4, New York 1

NEW YORK, Feb. 7 (UPI) -- Jean-Sebastien Giguere made 32 saves Thursday, allowing Anaheim to complete a successful trip to New York with a 4-1 win over the Rangers.

Anaheim also beat the New York Islanders on Tuesday. The sweep of the New York clubs came after the Ducks had lost six in a row.

Goals by Corey Perry and Chris Kunitz 87 seconds apart in the second period put Anaheim in control and Mathieu Schneider produced a goal and an assist.

Perry snapped a 1-1 tie with 7:55 remaining in the second, rifling a slap shot that glanced off the glove of goaltender Henrik Lundqvist and trickled past him into the net.

Kunitz then collected a rebound off a shot by Schneider and shoved it just inside the post to give the Ducks a two-goal lead.

The contest included a series of fights with major penalties handed out to New York's Brandon Dubinsky, Colton Orr and Ryan Hollweg along with Anaheim's Brian Sutherby, George Parros and Ryan Carter.
