Washington's Brooks Laich scored his ninth at 2:31 of the second and Philadelphia's Mike Knuble's 21st (power play) at 16:21 produced the equalizer.

Mike Green had two assists, while Olaf Kolzig stopped 31 of 34 shots for the Capitals, who won for the 10th time in their last 14 games overall.

Martin Biron yielded four goals after 27 Washington shots for the Flyers, who converted three of five power-play chances, but had a two-game winning streak snapped.

The loss left the Flyers two points ahead of both New Jersey and Pittsburgh in the Atlantic Division.
